Why I'm asking

Two kinds of labor, one life

The women who raised me, my mothers, are why I want a family of my own. I've spent about 15 years helping out at my mom's daycare, but it's about more than helping out. It's watching what real care looks like.

I'm also headed toward a PhD that I'd be the first in my family to earn, and my research is a mix of chemistry and maternal health. I want to know how all of it fits together.
